Are you ready to dive into the vibrant world of words and creativity? Writing The City is on the lookout for dedicated volunteers to join our dynamic team and help shape and nurture Singapore's literary landscape.
At Writing The City, we've witnessed firsthand how providing a constant, nurturing space for all kinds of writers and enthusiasts to explore their craft. Now, we're seeking someone who shares our fervent passion for literary arts and is eager to contribute their energy and ideas to our community.
With that, here are the volunteer positions that we're looking to fill:

Executive
The ideal Volunteer Programme Executive is someone who not only embraces our existing programmes but also brings fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the table. You'll need patience, dedication, and a genuine enthusiasm for fostering connections within the literary community.
Moreover, a distinctive perspective of the literary arts in Singapore and how literary arts intersect with other forms of expression would be a tremendous asset.
Core Responsibilities:

Programme Coordination: Coordinate and manage Writing The City's programmes, including Writer's Cove, Write In Sessions, and Writing Workshops, ensuring smooth operation and effective delivery of activities.

Community Engagement: Engage with participants, volunteers, and stakeholders to promote participation, gather feedback, and build meaningful connections within the literary community.

Content Development: Contribute to the development of programme content, workshop materials, and promotional materials to support the organization's objectives and enhance the participant experience.

Event Planning: Assist in the planning and execution of events, workshops, and other activities, from logistics coordination to participant communication and follow-up.

Collaboration: Collaborate with local authors, writing mentors, and industry partners to curate engaging workshops and events that cater to the diverse interests and needs of the writing community.

Administrative Support: Provide administrative support as needed, including managing registrations, maintaining participant records, and preparing reports on programme activities and outcomes.

Executive
As a Social Media Community Executive at Writing The City, you will be responsible for creating engaging content, fostering online connections, and promoting our programmes and initiatives across various social media platforms.
You will play a key role in increasing community engagement and enhancing the visibility of Writing The City within the literary community and beyond.
Core Responsibilities:

Content Creation: Design and create compelling social media content, including graphics, videos, and written posts, to promote Writing The City's programmes, events, and achievements.

Platform Management: Manage Writing The City's presence on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Website, and Email, including scheduling posts, responding to comments and messages, and monitoring analytics.

Communication Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact for participants, volunteers, and followers on social media, providing information, answering inquiries, and facilitating communication between the organization and its audience.

Campaign Coordination: Support the planning and execution of social media campaigns and promotions, collaborating with the team to develop strategies, create content calendars, and track performance metrics
