what we burn for
AN OPEN CALL BY ATELIER ARCADIA AND WRITING THE CITY
Atelier Arcadia is calling for contributors to join our upcoming anthology, created in collaboration with Writing the City. We're looking for short form prose and microfiction pieces on the theme "what we burn for.”

You can write about a lost home, an unrequited love, climate anxiety — everything's fair game. But we do ask that the submitted work not include explicit sex/nudity, violence, or content that violates any Singaporean laws.

All you need to do is send in a piece of up to 3,500 words in length and an author bio (not exceeding 150 words) before the closing date June 22, 2024, 23:59 (GMT+8). Once your piece has been accepted, our editors will work with you to refine your piece. Please expect between one to two rounds of revisions.

Every anthology is different, but if you'd like to take a look at what we've produced in the past, do check out "Good Girls Bad Ends" and "Other Worlds," two collections of art and writing currently available online or in stores at Kinokuniya Singapore.
We plan to release this anthology in digital form, and distribute softcover copies of it via a limited print run.
